Gerardo Acosta graduated as Engineer in Electronics at the National University of La Plata, (1988), and as Ph.D. in Computer Science, in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Valladolid, Spain (1995). Since then he is Professor in Control Systems (Electronic Area) in the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of the Centre of Buenos Aires Province (UNCPBA), at Olavarría, Argentina. He is a researcher of the CONICET and Director of the R+D Group "INTELYMEC", at the Faculty of Engineering-UNCPBA. His working topic comprises the use of artificial intelligence techniques in control and supervision. He has more than ninety publications in this and related fields.
